Listening to her five minutes of Liszt left me eager to hear her approach to an entire Mozart concerto. –Stephen Smoliar

Vardanega has already compiled a resume that most people won't achieve in a lifetime. –Michael Katz

Vardanega's tone reminded me surprisingly of jazz pianists in the Stride tradition. –Michael Katz

Audrey Vardanega captivated on the piano, playing with a composed maturity so fluid that I could practically feel the keyboard under my own fingers. –Rebecca Wallace

It's hard to believe she's so young because [Audrey] plays with an astonishing beauty and maturity beyond her years –George Cleve

Audrey is an enchanting young lady with an endless capacity to move me musically. She is an extraordinary pianist as well as a highly accomplished violinist. In the two years that I have known her she has matured into a compelling artist. And all this without a trace of attitude. It is a privilege to work with her – George Cleve

Audrey Vardanega, a gifted young Oakland musician with a dexterous keyboard technique and a way with the music's harmonic depths -Joshua Kosman

Remarkable not least of all because of fourteen-year-old Audrey Vardanega's performance of the Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K.467. I don't believe I have ever heard a teenager play with both the facility and understanding that Ms. Vardanega displayed.

Leaving her age to one side, she played with the kind of freedom, authority and strength, especially in the first movement, that one expects from the world's finest pianists. The movement of her hands during the Allegro maestoso was as beautiful to watch as the performance of a great dancer, while the notes flowed from her fingers with a brilliant poetic logic. -Ira Steingroot
